Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find the operator’s contact details in the section “Information on the Controller” of this Privacy Policy.

How do we collect your data?
Your data is collected, firstly, when you provide it to us. This may include, for example, data that you enter into a contact form. Other data is collected automatically or, with your consent, when you visit the website by our IT systems. This primarily includes technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page access). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.

What do we use your data for?
Some of the data is collected to ensure the website is provided without errors. Other data may be used to analyse your user behaviour. If contracts can be concluded or initiated via the website, the data you provide will also be processed for the purpose of preparing contract offers, processing orders or handling other enquiries relating to orders.

What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the rectification or deletion of this data. If you have given your consent to data processing, you may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

If you have any questions about this or any other data protection matters, you can contact us at any time.

When you use this website, various personal data are collected.

Information on the controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

DEIMEX Aussenhandel GmbH & Co. KG

Berliner Allee 27-29

40212 Düsseldorf

Germany

Managing Director: Anis Boutaleb

Phone: +49 (0) 211 843 453 90
Email: info@deimex.de

The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses or similar).

Storage period

Unless a more specific storage period has been specified in this Privacy Policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for deletion or withdraw your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible grounds for storing your personal data (e.g. tax or commercial retention periods); in the latter case, the data will be deleted once these grounds no longer apply.

General information on the legal bases for data processing on this website

If you have given your consent to the processing of your data, we process your personal data on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR or Article 9(2)(a) GDPR, insofar as special categories of personal data pursuant to Article 9(1) GDPR are processed.

In the event of express consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is also carried out on the basis of Article 49(1)(a) GDPR.

If you have consented to the storage of cookies or to access to information on your end device (e.g. via device fingerprinting), the data processing is also carried out on the basis of Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

If your data is required for the performance of a contract or for carrying out pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We also process your data insofar as this is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Data processing may also be carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Information on the legal bases applicable in each individual case is provided in the following sections of this Privacy Policy.

Recipients of personal data

In the course of our business activities, we work with various external parties. In some cases, this also requires the transfer of personal data to these external parties. We only disclose personal data to external parties if this is necessary for the performance of a contract, if we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. disclosure of data to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest in the disclosure pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, or if another legal basis permits the disclosure of the data. When using processors, we only disclose our customers’ personal data on the basis of a valid data processing agreement. In the case of joint processing, a joint processing agreement is concluded.

Withdrawal of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may withdraw any consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out prior to the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Right to object to data collection in specific cases and to
direct marketing (Article 21 GDPR)
IF THE DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ARTICLE 6(1)(E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY TIME TO OBJECT, ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA CONCERNED, UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 21(1) GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ARE PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL THEN NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 21(2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be carried out where technically feasible.

Access, rectification and erasure

Within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing, and, where applicable, the right to request the rectification or erasure of this data. You may contact us at any time regarding this or any other questions relating to personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You may contact us at any time regarding this matter.

The right to restriction of processing applies in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data was or is unlawful, you may request the restriction of data processing instead of the erasure of the data.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you require it for the exercise, defence or establishment of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of its erasure.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Article 21(1) GDPR, a balancing exercise must be carried out between your interests and our interests. Until it has been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data may, apart from its storage, only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State.

SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the website operator, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption.
You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser’s address bar changing from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock symbol in your browser’s address bar.

When SSL/TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

5. Data collection on this website

Cookies

Our websites use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small data packages and do not cause any damage to your end device. They are either stored temporarily on your end device for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies).

Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Persistent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

Cookies may be set by us (first-party cookies) or by third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services provided by third-party companies into websites (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping basket function or the display of videos). Other cookies may be used to analyse user behaviour or for advertising purposes.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions requested by you (e.g. for the shopping basket function) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies for measuring website audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified.

The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies to ensure the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and similar recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG); consent may be withdrawn at any time.

You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set and to allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis, to accept cookies in certain cases or generally reject them, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. If cookies are disabled, the functionality of this website may be limited.

If additional cookies and services are used on this website, you will find information about them in this Privacy Policy.

Server log files

The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us.

These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

These data are not combined with data from other sources.

The collection of this data is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in ensuring the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – the server log files must be collected for this purpose.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, we will store the information you provide in the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in case of any follow-up questions. We will not disclose this data to third parties without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for carrying out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), if this has been requested; consent may be withdrawn at any time.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request its deletion, withdraw your consent to its storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

Enquiries by email, telephone or fax

If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your enquiry including all personal data arising from it (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, provided your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) if this was requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data sent to us by you via contact requests remains with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

6. Corporate presence on social networks

We maintain corporate presences on the social networks Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn in order to provide information about our company, products and services, to communicate with interested parties and customers, and to increase our reach and visibility.

When visiting our corporate presences, personal data may be processed by the respective platform operators. This may include, in particular, information about interactions with our pages, public profile information, posts, comments, reactions, messages, and technical information. We have only limited influence on the specific data processing carried out by the respective platform operators.

Facebook and Instagram

Our corporate presences on Facebook and Instagram are operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, or provided for users in the European Union.

For certain processing operations in connection with our corporate presences, in particular for the provision and evaluation of page statistics (insights), we may be jointly responsible with Meta. The respective joint responsibility is governed by the agreements provided by Meta.

Meta processes personal data, in particular when you visit or interact with our company pages. This may include, for example, information about your interactions, public profile information, and technical information.

If you contact us via Facebook or Instagram, we may process the information provided by you in order to handle your request and to communicate with you.

Insofar as we process personal data ourselves in the course of communicating with you, this takes place depending on the occasion, in particular to carry out pre-contractual measures or to perform a contract pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, to comply with legal obligations pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR, or on the basis of our legitimate interest in efficient communication and maintaining our customer and business relationships pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Meta is fundamentally responsible for the processing of personal data by Meta. Further information on the processing of personal data by Meta, your rights, and the options for adjusting privacy settings can be found in Meta's privacy policy:

https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/

For Instagram:

https://privacycenter.instagram.com/policy/

The agreement on joint responsibility between Meta and operators of Facebook pages can be accessed, among other places, here:

https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum

Insofar as Meta processes personal data outside the European Union or the European Economic Area or transfers it there, this is done in accordance with the data protection mechanisms provided by Meta for this purpose. Details on this can be found in Meta's privacy policy.

LinkedIn

We maintain a corporate page on LinkedIn.

The operator of the service for users in the European Economic Area is fundamentally LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.

When visiting or interacting with our LinkedIn corporate page, LinkedIn processes personal data. This may include, for example, information about the visit to and interaction with our corporate page as well as certain information from the LinkedIn profile.

LinkedIn provides operators of corporate pages with so-called Page Insights. These serve to obtain aggregated statistical information about the use of and interaction with our corporate page. For the processing of personal data to generate these Page Insights, LinkedIn and we, as the operator of the corporate page, are joint controllers within the meaning of the GDPR. LinkedIn fundamentally provides the information obtained from this in aggregated form.

The details of the respective responsibilities can be found in the Page Insights Joint Controller Addendum provided by LinkedIn:

https://www.linkedin.com/legal/l/page-joint-controller-addendum

Further information on the processing of personal data by LinkedIn and the settings options available there can be found in LinkedIn's privacy policy: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

For users in the European Economic Area, LinkedIn's European privacy notice applies additionally: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy/eu

If you contact us via LinkedIn or communicate with us via LinkedIn, we may process the personal data provided by you in order to handle your request and to communicate with you. The legal basis depends on the specific purpose of the contact and is, in particular, Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR.

Storage period

We generally store personal data transmitted to us via our social media presence in the course of a contact request only for as long as necessary to process the respective query. Any further storage takes place insofar as statutory retention obligations exist or the storage is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.

Exercise of your data subject rights

You can generally exercise your rights under the GDPR, in particular to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and objection, both against us and against the respective platform operator. Insofar as joint responsibility exists, requests will be handled in accordance with the agreements made between us and the respective platform operator.

Please note that we cannot influence or control all processing operations carried out by the platform operators. For details on the data processing performed by Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, as well as the privacy and settings options available there, please refer to the respective privacy policies of the platform operators.

7. Integration of a LinkedIn feed

On our website, we use the WordPress plugin ProFeed to display public posts from our LinkedIn corporate page on our website.

The display of the LinkedIn feed is blocked by default via our consent management system, Borlabs Cookie. Processing by the external services used to provide the feed only takes place after the user has given their consent.

After consent has been granted, the plugin retrieves the data required to display the feed via an interface provided by ProFeedWP. The retrieval used for this purpose takes place via our web server. In particular, the public URL of our LinkedIn corporate page is transmitted to the ProFeedWP API. The retrieved feed data is subsequently processed or temporarily cached on our web server and used to display the feed on our website.

The provider of the ProFeedWP API is ProFeedWP.

Further information on data processing by ProFeedWP can be found in the provider's privacy policy:

https://profeedwp.com/privacy-policy/

To display individual public media content, ProFeed may also access public content or URLs from LinkedIn and the LinkedIn media domain. Insofar as a connection to LinkedIn's servers is established in this context, this likewise only takes place after prior consent has been granted.

The provider of LinkedIn is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.

Further information on the processing of personal data by LinkedIn can be found in LinkedIn's privacy policy:

https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

Legal basis

The integration of the LinkedIn feed and the associated processing of personal data by external services is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Consent is obtained via our consent management system, Borlabs Cookie, and can be revoked at any time with future effect via the settings provided there. Without consent being granted, the LinkedIn feed will not be loaded and no connections required for this purpose will be established to the external services mentioned.

Storage period

The feed data retrieved by ProFeed and temporarily cached on our web server is only stored for as long as necessary to provide and update the LinkedIn feed. The specific storage duration depends on the configuration of the plugin and the caching established on our web server. Further information on general storage periods and your data subject rights can be found in the remaining sections of this privacy policy.
